2020 Yamaha YZF R6 – After a few years, leading bicycle manufacturing company – Yamaha has made several major updates with respect to the ever classic R6 bike series. The latest Yamaha R6 series in the 2018 all-new model carries a design that fits perfectly with its flagship model as the Yamaha R1 series. The overall updated design of the new generation of Yamaha R6 along with front end modifications and braking systems has made this motorcycle series A very good middle class sports car. As peak power was reduced due to Euro-IV constraints, the given Yamaha R6 series was expected to be a costly obsession.
Yamaha R6 Mileage
The latest Yamaha R6 series showcases a 599cc displacement engine along with claimed mileage claims of approximately 15-20 Kmpl. With an overall sidewalk weight of 190 kg, the Yamaha R6 features a fuel tank capacity of about 17 liters. Being more attractive and lightweight than ever before, the new Yamaha R6 series gets the inspiration of paint & the colors of the classic MT-10 series in the given new avatar. With a recent appearance at the Auto Expo 2018 in progress, the all-new Yamaha R6 can be expected with its release towards the end of the year on the streets of India.
Yamaha R6 Transmission & Engine
Yamaha R6 takes power from 5H engine powered 599 cc, leaning forward, 4-tak, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder parallel, DOHC capable of generating 118.4 PS at 14,500 rpm along with maximum torque value from 61.7 Nm at 10,500 rpm. The motorcycle engine has been coupled to a 6-speed transmission gearbox.
Yamaha R6 Performance and handling
With the remaining bike engine almost unchanged, but with new refueling efficiency, bicycles allow for different mapping for each gear for riders. Bicycles appear as light machines, brilliant handling that offers increased riding performance for riders. The new Yamaha R6 also receives a sophisticated D-Mode system from Yamaha that offers riders 3 different throttle response maps to choose from based on driving conditions. There are optional plug-&-play quickshifters available with bicycles as well.
Braking & Security Yamaha R6
Compared to older bicycle versions, aluminum frame is lifted. The full adjustment fork towards the rear & front end has been taken from the classic R1 series and now comes with a dimension of 43mm in diameter. The front wheels of this motor have a larger 320mm front disc-inspired from the standard MT-10 series. The radial master cylinder along with the caliper on the latest Yamaha R6 is all new and has been borrowed from the R1 series. ABS is standard.
