2020 Yamaha R3 Features – Auto Expo 2018 is seeing many product launches also on Day 3 and Yamaha has just launched the new 2018 edition of YZF-R3 in India. The price of the bike was kept at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The most important change in the new R3 is the integration of a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) for improved braking. Another change in the new Yamaha YZF-R3 ABS is represented by the Metzeler tires compared to the MRF rubber used for the previous model.
R3 Features For those who do not know, the Yamaha YZF-R3 has been withdrawn with the advent of the BS-IV emission standards. For some time it was said that Yamaha would launch the new R3 soon, but the manufacturer has chosen the opportunity to launch the new Yamaha R3 ABS at Auto Expo 2018. The new Yamaha YZF-R3 ABS has been launched in the country in two new colors that go under the name of Racing Blue and Magma Black.
2020 Yamaha has updated its YZF-R3 for the US market with three new color combinations: Yamaha Blue Team, Raven and Vivid White. The bike will go on sale in the United States in February 2018 and may soon arrive in India. Apart from the changes to make it compliant with the Euro-IV emission standards (which is the same as BS-IV), the R8 2018 remains identical to the R3 launched in India in 2015.
2020 Yamaha R3 – Performance
On the performance side, the Yamaha YZF-R3 will continue to use the 321cc, parallel-twin, four-valve engine that makes 41.9hp at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. This engine is combined with a six-speed gearbox. The Yamaha R3 is available in ABS and non-ABS versions in the United States. We would like to see if Yamaha considers it appropriate to offer Indian customers ABS, at least as a choice, this time.
The suspension functions are controlled by the same 41 mm Kayaba forks at the top and shock absorber adjustable by the preload at the rear. The bike is still missing on the USD forks, offered by its significantly cheaper competitors. R3 Features Yamaha The empty weight for the US R3 specification is 166.9 kg (not ABS) and 170 kg (with ABS). The instrument panel remains the same and will continue to display information such as current and average fuel consumption, coolant temperature and two odometers. We believe that Yamaha could launch the R3 shortly in India, perhaps even before the start of 2018.

R3 Yamaha Features There is also an air intake between the headlights, similar to the R6 and the R15 V3. However, it must be seen if the air intake offers functionality unlike the R15. Even the hull seems to have received revisions for a sharper appearance. The spy images also reveal USD gold finished forks on the R25 2019 that replace the telescopic forks in the front of the current version.
The new generation of the Yamaha R25 should also have radially mounted brake calipers, while the semi-digital instrument console of the current version could be replaced in favor of a complete LCD unit. The 250cc twin-cylinder parallel engine will probably remain the same, but it will probably come with more technology on board, including VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology. The current model produces 35 hp and 22.1 Nm of maximum torque. While it can be expected that the power figures see an increase, it is also expected that the acceleration times will be reduced
